How to use HEIC to JPG

How to convert iPhone photos to JPG

Select the HEIC files already on your device, then use the converter above. A JPG copy is created for each selected image; the source files are not replaced. This is useful when a form, website or app accepts JPG but cannot read an iPhone HEIC photo. No account or photo upload is required.

Why a HEIC photo may not upload

The destination may accept JPEG images but lack a HEIC decoder. Changing the filename extension does not change the image format. Convert the file, open the resulting JPG to check it, then upload that copy. If the destination also has a size limit, use Compress JPG or Resize JPG afterward.

Batch conversion without a ZIP

For a large photo library, desktop Chrome or Edge can write each completed JPG into one new folder. Files are processed one at a time. Keep the tab open and the device awake. The batch limit is 1,000 photos, with 200 MB per input; a phone may need smaller batches depending on available memory.

Common questions

Does HEIC to JPG conversion lose quality?

JPG is lossy, even at the highest quality setting. Original dimensions are kept by default, but color profiles, HDR and metadata may change. Keep the HEIC originals; choose PNG or TIFF if you need lossless encoding of the rendered pixels.

Can I use this on iPhone, Mac or Windows?

Use a current browser that supports the converter. The bundled HEIC decoder covers browsers without native HEIC decoding. Direct folder saving needs desktop Chrome or Edge; other browsers provide individual downloads.

Is iPhone ProRAW the same as HEIC?

No. iPhone ProRAW uses DNG files. You can add supported DNG photos to this converter too. Keep the original DNG if you plan to continue editing.
