A FEW SIMPLE STEPS

How to use PNG to JPG

  1. Add the PNG screenshots or images you want to convert.
  2. Choose JPG quality and keep the original dimensions, or select a smaller maximum size.
  3. Convert, inspect a saved JPG, then download individual files or save the batch into a folder.

Turn a screenshot into a JPG

A website may request a JPG even when your screenshot is a PNG. This converter decodes the PNG and writes a real JPEG file. It can handle a batch of screenshots without changing the originals. A different filename extension alone is not a conversion.

Transparent areas become white

JPG cannot store transparency. Transparent pixels in a PNG are placed over a white background before the image is encoded. If the transparent background is important for a logo, overlay or design asset, keep the PNG or choose TIFF instead.

PNG to JPG quality and file size

JPEG compression can create artifacts around small text and sharp edges. Start with a high quality setting and inspect the output at its intended size. A JPG is not guaranteed to be smaller than a PNG, especially for simple graphics. Lower quality or smaller dimensions may help when a form has an upload limit.

Common questions

Can I convert PNG to JPG without losing quality?

JPG uses lossy compression. Keep original dimensions and high quality to limit the change, but keep the original PNG when exact pixels or transparency matter.

Can I convert multiple PNG files?

Yes. Add up to 1,000 files, with a maximum of 200 MB per file. Direct folder saving is available in desktop Chrome and Edge.

Can I put screenshots in a PDF instead?

Yes. Change the output to PDF and choose a combined document or one PDF per image. Each screenshot becomes an image page; text is not converted to searchable text.
